Going Coastal

Coastalliving.com released their favourite coastal homes of 2011. They are stunning by the way. And given the Melbourne weather is still looking up, I thought I'd celebrate the warmth and look into a little coastal styling. Below are a few of my faves from their round-up.

Beachy Interiors

YES ~ you do need to live considerably close to the water to pull it off. Focus on neutral colours with injections of pale blues or corals. Stripes always work well in a beach theme paying homage to it's nautical brother. Wooden furniture dark or light helps ties the theme together. White and glass accessories are a must.
